I’m so looking forward to the next installment of Jack & Evie!
In this second book thrilling book of The Arcana Chronicles from #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole, Evie struggles to accept her place in the prophecy that will either save the world—or destroy it.
Evie has fully come into her powers as the tarot Empress, and Jack was there to see it all. As one of twenty-two teens given powers following the apocalypse, she now knows a war is brewing, and it’s kill or be killed. When Evie meets Death, the gorgeous and dangerous Endless Knight, things get even more complicated. Though falling for Jack, she’s drawn to Death as well. Somehow the Empress and Death share a romantic history, one that Evie can’t remember—but Death can’t forget…

Author Charlaine Harris took to her Facebook account the other day to mention her disappointment that some asshat in Germany obtained an advanced copy of DEAD EVER AFTER, the final book in her much beloved Southern Vampires/Sookie Stackhouse series and posted spoilers online. As if that wasn’t bad enough in and of itself, so-called fans have read the spoilers and have expressed their disappointment in how Sookie’s story ends, adding further fuel to the burning disappointment that Charlaine is experiencing.
Several authors and readers have commented on the situation in support of Ms Harris. I have not read the spoilers myself, nor any of the crap that these people have posted. I, for one, do not want to have the series ruined for me, thank you very much. I have been reading the Sookie books for years and I’ll continue the journey with the Bon Temps gang right up to the very end of the last page.
Speaking of the end, however, there is some good news that I can share – Apparently DEAD EVER AFTER doesn’t tie up all of the loose ends for all of the characters, and really, how could it? For those of us who simply can’t stand not knowing what happened to all of our beloved Bon Temps peeps, Charlaine decided to take pity on us an release one more Sookie book. It’s not a novel, mind you, but a coda, that deals with the characters alphabetically to tell us what happens with each of them.
Here is the Amazon description:
Release date: October 29, 2013 | Series: Sookie Stackhouse
Dead Ever After marked the end of the Sookie Stackhouse novels—a series that garnered millions of fans and spawned the hit HBO television show True Blood. It also stoked a hunger that will never die…a hunger to know what happened next.
With characters arranged alphabetically—from the Ancient Pythoness to Bethany Zanelli—bestselling author Charlaine Harris takes fans into the future of their favorite residents of Bon Temps and environs. You’ll learn how Michele and Jason’s marriage fared, what happened to Sookie’s cousin Hunter, and whether Tara and JB’s twins grew up to be solid citizens.
This coda provides the answers to your lingering questions—including details of Sookie’s own happily-ever-after…
The book will feature extensive interior art by acclaimed Sookie artist Lisa Desimini, including a Sookieverse Alphabet, color endpapers, and several full-page black and white interior illustrations.

This Sunday (March 17th) marks the 15th anniversary of the day that Karen Marie Moning sold her first novel. She posted the cover of her upcoming 15th book – BURNED – today to mark the occasion.
Burned will be the 7th book in KMM’s fabulous Fever series. The release date has yet to be announced but it can’t come soon enough as far as I’m concerned. These books have been on my ‘auto-buy’ list since the day that I first laid hands on one.
Happy anniversary, Ms Moning! I’ll be raising a glass and drinking a toast in your honour this weekend.
