A Few #BitesFights Prize Packs

Hey Peeps, I don’t know about you all, but I’m seriously ready to wrap up this contest! What started out with the very best of intentions has turned out to be the contest that just wouldn’t end, lol. The end IS in sight, however, as voting in the final round of the Bites Fights ends Wednesday, June 27th at 12:00 noon EST.

I’ve been posting pictures of some of the prize packs that will be awarded on our Facebook page and I’m including them below in case you somehow missed them (note that this is said very much tongue-in-cheek since we all know just how extensive our reach on FB is these days).

Swag Packs:

Here is some of the swag that will be included in the Bites Fights Swag prize packs – Midnight Breed drink cozies, pens, bookmarks donated by Lara Adrian; Night Huntress rubber wrist bands and bookmarks donated by Jeaniene Frost; Michelle Rowen postcards and bookmarks; Fever series temporary tattoos from Karen Marie Moning; signed bookmarks from Melissa Marr and Kendare Blake; signed bookplates from Charlaine Harris; tattoo style rub-ons and more!

There are 12 Swag Packs to be won and each pack will contain an assortment of the items shown. Please note that not all items will be included in each pack as the number of each individual item varies but each pack will contain the same number of total items.

Shannon K. Butcher Pack:

Shannon K. Butcher bookmarks, including a handmade glass bookmark that Shannon has donated to go along with a copy of her Bites Fights contending book, Blood Hunt.

Jeaniene Frost Prize Pack:

A signed copy of Eternal Kiss of Darkness, a signed “Life is short. Bite Hard!” bookplate, two bookmarks, and a Mencheres rubber wrist band (reverse says “I like it mindblowing”). Thanks so much to Jeaniene for the contents (as well as the other Night Huntress wrist bands and bookmarks in the Swag Packs)!

Lara Adrian Midnight Breed Prize Pack 1:

Contents include an autographed canvas tote bag, a signed copy of the first Breed book – Kiss of Midnight, a Midnight Breed drink cozy, a pack of eight MB bookmarks, a MB key chain, and a MB pen – all donated by author Lara Adrian.

Lara Adrian Midnight Breed Prize Pack 2:

The second MB pack contains a signed copy of Deeper Than Midnight, eight MB bookmarks, a MB pen, and a Breed drink cozy.

 
In addition to the two MB prize packs eight additional winners will also receive a set of 8 Breed bookmarks. The Swag Packs mentioned previously also contain Breed bookmarks as well.

Gena Showalter Prize Pack 1:

In addition to the fabulous prize packs that we’ve already shared we have a couple offerings from the uber-awesome Gena Showalter.

Gena Pack One includes the following:
- a signed copy of On the Hunt
- a signed bookplate
- three assorted bookmarks
- a Dating the Undead postcard

Gena Showalter Prize Pack 2:

The second Gena Showalter prize pack being given away in the Bites Fights contains the following:

- a signed copy of Jewel of Atlantis
- a signed bookplate
- a set of three assorted bookmarks

Are these the only prizes to be won? Heck No! These are just the prizes that I have posted on FB so far. More will be posted tomorrow.

Eternal Kiss of Darkness Review Posted

Jeaniene Frost is spending the weekend partying in New Orleans at the Memnoch Resurrection Ball and Undead Con (actually she is participating in a panel at the convention so there is a tiny bit of work combined with a whole lot of play, but hey, the lady is entitled to take a break from writing now and then!).  While we can’t be with her personally in NOLA, we are definitely with her in spirit and I hope that she has one hell of a good time.

Wenj and I both read Eternal Kiss of Darkness, the second book in Jeaniene’s Night Huntress World series, last week.  I have posted her review and I agree with her rating of Mencheres’ story, even if I do disagree with her about Mencheres and Kira being annoying in the beginning when they both try to deny their feelings for each other.  It’s a minor point however as I agree with everything else, especially the desire for a deeper look at Mencheres’ past.  Hmmm…. Perhaps a certain sexy Egyptian vampire needs a second book?  Or at least a background story in an upcoming anthology.  Maybe we can persuade Jeaniene to work on this if we all beg and plead real nicely.  It’s worth a shot!

Eternal Kiss of Darkness

An immortal war has been brewing in the darkness…and now one woman has stumbled into the shadows.

Chicago private investigator Kira Graceling should have just kept on walking.  But her sense of duty refused to let her ignore the moans of pain coming from inside a warehouse just before dawn.  Suddenly she finds herself in a world she’s only imagined in her worst nightmares.

At the center is Mencheres, a breathtaking Master Vampire who thought he’d seen it all.  Then Kira appears—this fearless, beautiful…human who braved death to rescue him.  Though he burns for her, keeping Kira in his world means risking her life, yet sending her away is unthinkable.

But with danger closing in, Mencheres must choose between the woman he craves, or embracing the darkest magic to defeat an enemy bent on his eternal destruction.
