Bitten – Season 1 Launch Trailer

The first trailer for the Kelley Armstrong’s Bitten television program has been released! The show premieres on Monday, January 13th on Syfy channel.

Elena Michaels is the world’s only female werewolf. And she’s tired of it. Tired of a life spent hiding and protecting, a life where her most important job is hunting down rogue werewolves. Tired of a world that not only accepts the worst in her–her temper, her violence–but requires it. Worst of all, she realizes she’s growing content with that life, with being that person.

So she left the Pack and returned to Toronto where she’s trying to live as a human. When the Pack leader calls asking for her help fighting a sudden uprising, she only agrees because she owes him. Once this is over, she’ll be squared with the Pack and free to live life as a human. Which is what she wants. Really.

Kelley Armstrong’s Thirteen – Review Posted

I received a copy of Kelley Armstrong’s Thirteen last week, the thirteenth and final installment of the best selling Otherworld series. I’ve been a fan of the series from the first book, Bitten, and was thrilled to be asked to review the finale, having previously reviewed the eleventh book in the series, Waking the Witch, just over two years ago.

Otherworld fans are going to love this last adventure with Savannah, Elena, and crew. The review is posted in the review section and you can read it here.

Waking the Witch Contest Winner

We have a Winner for our Waking the Witch contest!

**Beth**

Entrants were asked to list which book in Kelley Armstrong’s Otherworld series is their favourite and why.  Our winner Beth wrote:

“Is there an option for all of the above? lol

At first, I would have said Bitten – as it’s the book that launched the whole series. But No Humans Involved has slowly become my favourite. Jaime has really grown on me and I like the way she comes into her own through the book.”

Beth, please email admin@paranormalbites.com with your mailing address and I’ll get your signed copy of WtW out to you.  Enjoy!

Obsidian shadows of the flesh…tattoos with hearts, minds, and dreams.  By day, they are my armor.  By night, they unwind from my body to take on forms of their own—demons of the flesh, turned into flesh.

For too long Maxine Kiss has felt an inexplicable darkness around her—a force she channels into hunting the demons bent on destroying the human race.  But when she finds herself covered in blood and crouched beside her grandfather’s dead body with no memory of what happened or of the man she loves, Maxine begins to fear that the darkness has finally consumed her.

With blood on her hands and her sanity in question, Maxine must face the truth about who she really is and embrace the love of the only man who can help her—before she loses what she cares about most: her family.

Comic Book Series in Works for Kelley Armstrong

Kelley Armstrong, author of the wildly popular Women of the Otherworld series, has a comic book novella series in the works.  Published by Dabel & Dynamite, the series will contain four issues, with the artwork being done by Brett Booth – the same artist who draws the Anita Blake (Laurell K. Hamilton) comics.  Titled Forbidden, the series is a new Elena and Clay story, set post-Frostbitten and focusing on the return of Morgan.  The series is expected to launch this fall.

In conjunction with the Forbidden series, Kelley is also putting out a limited edition, single issue Otherworld Primer.  Brett Booth is doing the artwork for the Primer as well and it will be a limited print run of only 2500 copies.

The publisher Dabel/Dynamite is hosting a cool international contest for the Primer that runs until the end of July.  Everyone who purchases a copy of the Primer will be entered to win one of 3 prizes.

1: Grand Prize: An all expenses paid trip to meet Kelley at a convention.

2: Second Prize: A cameo appearance for you to be in Kelley’s graphic novel.

3: Third Prize: Free copies of Kelley’s comics and graphic novels signed by both Kelley and the artist.
