FeverCon News & ICED Launch Party

Hundreds of Moning Maniacs have anxiously been waiting to hear the details regarding the date and location of Karen Marie Moning’s FeverCon 2012.

Bad news, Peeps… Karen announced this morning that due to time constraints on her behalf and monetary constraints on behalf of her fans she has decided to forgo FeverCon again this year.

The good news however, is that she is planning a large launch party for Iced, the first novel in the new Dani O’Malley spin-off series. The launch party will take place in the same location as the Shadowfever party last January, Le Pavillon Hotel, in New Orleans. The party date is set as October 29th and Karen plans on spending an extended weekend leading up to the launch partying with her fans in the Big Easy.

With so many events planned for the same time frame in NOLA – including Anne Rice’s Wolf Gift Ball (with special guests Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dacre Stoker), the New Orleans Witches Ball, the annual Endless Night Vampire Ball, the third annual Undead NOLA Authors’ Conference, and the annual VooDoo music festival – why celebrate Halloween anywhere else?

Read Karen’s FeverCon/Iced announcement.

Free Cynthia Eden Read

Cynthia Eden’s latest paranormal romance novella, Bound in Sin, is being offered as a free read from both Smashwords and All Romance eBooks until 1/13/2012!

Cynthia Eden, Bound in Sin
What’s the price of sin?

Human Paige Sloan once loved werewolf Drake Wyler more than life, but then that life was taken away from her. Attacked by vampires, Paige was bitten, and, on a cold, dark night, the life she’d known ended. She was reborn as a vampire—a werewolf’s deadliest enemy.

Paige ran from the vampires who attacked her, and she ran away from her lover. She didn’t want Drake to know what she’d become, and she didn’t want to face the fury of his pack. But a girl can only run for so long until the past catches up with her.

Some sins mark your soul.

When Paige learns that Drake is being targeted for death, she knows that she can’t hide in the shadows any longer. She has to return to him, and she will do anything—anything—in order to make sure that he keeps living. The vampires might have destroyed her chance to live and love Drake, but they won’t take him. Not over her undead body. She’ll slay them all…and maybe, just maybe…she’ll even have the chance to sin—one more time–with the werewolf who’d marked her as his mate.

Some sins are worth dying for…

Kresley Cole Signing Tour

One of my very favourite authors – Kresley Cole – will be hitting the road next week for a short signing tour to celebrate the release of her latest book, Lothaire, the 12th instalment of her very sexy, very funny, Immortals After Dark series.

And if that isn’t exciting enough by itself, she’s managed to convince cover model Paul Marron to play wingman for the duration of the tour! Paul Marron!!! Can this woman be any more awesome? It’s like she’s made of awesomesauce and Paul is the delectable, plump, juicy ripe cherry on top!

Whew… It’s getting hot in here… (fans self, reaches for a drink)

Switched Trailer

SWITCHED… at birth:

When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.

Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit. But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth: Wendy is a changeling who was switched at birth—and he’s come to take her home.

Now Wendy’s about to journey to a magical world she never knew existed, one that’s both beautiful and frightening. And where she must leave her old life behind to discover who she’s meant to become…

From Amanda Hocking, million-copy bestselling author and internet sensation comes the Trylle series. It all begins with Switched, available everywhere 1.3.12. As a special gift to readers, Switched contains a new, never-before-published bonus story, “The Vittra Attacks,” set in the magical world of the Trylle.
