Hundreds of Moning Maniacs have anxiously been waiting to hear the details regarding the date and location of Karen Marie Moning’s FeverCon 2012.
Bad news, Peeps… Karen announced this morning that due to time constraints on her behalf and monetary constraints on behalf of her fans she has decided to forgo FeverCon again this year.
The good news however, is that she is planning a large launch party for Iced, the first novel in the new Dani O’Malley spin-off series. The launch party will take place in the same location as the Shadowfever party last January, Le Pavillon Hotel, in New Orleans. The party date is set as October 29th and Karen plans on spending an extended weekend leading up to the launch partying with her fans in the Big Easy.
This week is all about angels and demons when it comes to new releases and judging by content there seems to be a very fine line between the two entities…

What’s the price of sin?
Human Paige Sloan once loved werewolf Drake Wyler more than life, but then that life was taken away from her. Attacked by vampires, Paige was bitten, and, on a cold, dark night, the life she’d known ended. She was reborn as a vampire—a werewolf’s deadliest enemy.
Paige ran from the vampires who attacked her, and she ran away from her lover. She didn’t want Drake to know what she’d become, and she didn’t want to face the fury of his pack. But a girl can only run for so long until the past catches up with her.
Some sins mark your soul.
When Paige learns that Drake is being targeted for death, she knows that she can’t hide in the shadows any longer. She has to return to him, and she will do anything—anything—in order to make sure that he keeps living. The vampires might have destroyed her chance to live and love Drake, but they won’t take him. Not over her undead body. She’ll slay them all…and maybe, just maybe…she’ll even have the chance to sin—one more time–with the werewolf who’d marked her as his mate.
One of my very favourite authors – Kresley Cole – will be hitting the road next week for a short signing tour to celebrate the release of her latest book, Lothaire, the 12th instalment of her very sexy, very funny, Immortals After Dark series.
And if that isn’t exciting enough by itself, she’s managed to convince cover model Paul Marron to play wingman for the duration of the tour! Paul Marron!!! Can this woman be any more awesome? It’s like she’s made of awesomesauce and Paul is the delectable, plump, juicy ripe cherry on top!
Whew… It’s getting hot in here… (fans self, reaches for a drink)

As you know, Peeps, my regular job is working in a book store. I won’t name exactly which one as I’d rather avoid a perceived conflict of interest but there are so many great books on clearance this week throughout the chain that I work for that I just had to mention some of them. If you happen to live near an Indigo, Chapters, or Coles store be sure to check out the Bargain Books section this week for some truly spectacular deals on books from some great romance/urban fantasy/sci fi/horror authors. When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit.
