Bite Fights – Have You Voted Yet?

Just a reminder to get your preliminary votes in for the first annual Paranormal Bites Fights. The top eight books in each of eight categories will face off in April to compete for the title of Best Paranormal Book of 2011.

These preliminary polls close on Tuesday, March 20th at 11:45 pm.


Wondering how your favourite books are doing? Here are the current standings as of 1:00 am on March 18th:


The Vamps

Laura Wright’s Eternal Kiss is in the lead with 47% of the vote.

Lara Adrian’s Deeper Than Midnight is in second place with 16% of the vote.

J.R. Ward’s Lover Unleashed is in third place with 12%.

Jeaniene Frost’s This Side of the Grave is closely following with 11%.

Alexandra Ivy’s Beyond the Darkness and Patricia Briggs’ River Marked are tied for first place, each with 21%.

Jennifer Ashley’s Primal Bonds is currently in second place with 16%.

Katie MacAlister’s The Unbearable Lightness of Dragons is in third with 11%.

J.R. Ward’s Envy is currently in first place with 39% of the vote.

Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Consort is in second with 26%.

Sylvia Day’s A Touch of Crimson is currently in third with 13%.

Gena Showalter’s The Darkest Surrender is leading the pack with 61%.

Jacquelyn Frank’s Adam is in second place with 22%.

Jennifer Estep’s Spider’s Revenge is running in second with 22%.

First place is currently being held by Karen Marie Moning’s Shadowfever with 31% of the vote.

Thea Harrison’s Storm’s Heart is in second place with 23%.

Yasmine Galenorn’s Courting Darkness, Seanan McGuire’s Late Eclipses,  Melissa Marr’s Darkest Mercy, Joey W. Hill’s Bound by the Vampire Queen, Julie Kagawa’s The Iron Queen, and Anya Bast’s Dark Enchantment are all tied for third with 8% each.

Ghosts & Others

It’s a dead heat for first place with Larissa Ione’s Eternal Rider, Kresley Cole’s Dreams of a Dark Warrior, and  Jim Butcher’s Ghost Story being tied with 33% each.

Primal by Lora Leigh, Ava Gray, Michelle Rowen, and Jory Strong is the current leader with 57%.

Home Improvement: Undead Edition, edited by Charlaine Harris and Toni L.P. Kelner is in second with 29%.

D. B. Reynolds’ Vampires in America: The Vignettes – Vol 1 is a write-in choice that is coming in third with 14%.
